Something in the air / Valami van a levegőben

Spring is here! No doubt about it! Flowers pop up everywhere and for a few hours each day you can have a walk outside without your jacket. So, Olena and I went for a walk and this is the result. :)

Itt a tavasz! Semmi kétség efelől! Virágba borulnak a domboldalak és napközben akár már kabát nélkül is lehet sétálni. Olena és én elballagtunk a tengerhez, és ez lett belőle. Aki még emlékszik a Linda nevű remek magyar sorozatra... :)

Marcius 15!

WOW! It's been a looooong time! I know. Excuses? No. Pictures? Yes.

March 15 is a Hungarian National Holiday. We celebrate a revolution that took place in 1848. Usually people on this day go to the monuments, public gatherings take place where actors act out the beginning of the revolution and all in all this is a serious holiday. We all supposed to wear a special symbol called Kokárda (see top picture) made out of the tricolor that appears in our national flag.

This year, however I chose to celebrate it differently. :)



Húúúúúúúúúúúúúú, de rég írtam. De most pótolom. Sok képpel.

Szóval ugye március 15-én kokárdával jár az ember, emlékezvén Petőfire, meg az el-nem-szavalt Nemzeti dalra, meg a hasonló színjátszókörös megemlékezésekre.

Nos, idén én máshogy ünnepeltem...

Some shots of me getting ready for the craziest idea of my life. The temperature was around 7 Celsius, the wind wasn't too strong, but the water temperature... well, let's not go there - sufficient to say that it was C-O-L-D!
Néhány kép, miközben rákészülök életem egyik legőrültebb ötletére. Kb 7 fok volt, gyenge szél, viszont annál hidegebb víz - elég, ha annyit írok, H-I-D-E-G volt!

I never tried surfing before and what seemed like a piece of cake on sand proved to be a HUGE challenge in the water - even though the waves were really small.

Még sosem próbáltam ezt a sportota, ami elméletileg nem olyan bonyolúlt, de próbáld meg abszolválni ugyanezt a jeges tengerben (mégha a hullámok kicsik is).

That's how far I got. Finally I managed to get myself ONTO the board. The next step should be "standing up".


Nos, idáig jutottam pár óra alatt. Végre sikerült magamat a DESZKÁRA pozicionálni. A következő lépés ugye a "felállni rá" lenne...

And... És...

I MANAGED! For a second, I was standing. But as you can imagine, the next moment came and i went straight into the water again.

SIKERÜLT! Ha csak egy pillanatra is, de sikerült felállnom. Aztán a következőben már billentem is bele a vízbe.


But it was soooooo worth it! I had the best March 15 ever! Yes, I was extremely tired, but not cold!

De annnnnnyira megérte! A legjobb március 15-ém volt! Igen, elfáradtam, de nem fáztam egy cseppet sem!
