At least the landscape is nice... / Legalább a látvány szép...

Dr. Jamie, a friend from the ship is here with us for a few days, which normally would make me really glad, but she is a big fan of jogging. I told her that there is only 1 reason why I would run and that is if a dog would chase me! The weather was beautiful so she could actually convince me to accompany her for a little exercise. What to say? I nearly passed out! Man, I do need to get back to shape since if there is one place I would consider running voluntarily... it's here!

Dr. Jamie, egy jó barátom a hajóról meglátogatott minket és marad is egy pér hétig. Alapvetően örülök a látogatásának, de a futómániáját nehezen viselem, különösen, mert engem is magával akar rángatni. Mondtam, hogy csak abban az esetben vagyok hajlandó futni, ha egy kutya üldöz! Végül ma végre kötélnek álltam - ebben nyílván a szép idő is közrejátszott! Mit is mondhatnék? Majdnem elájultam! Azt hiszem, ideje lesz visszazökkenni a sportolásba, mert ha egy hely van, ahol magamtól futni mennék... hát az itt van!

What am I doing here? / Mit is csinálok itt??

Since many of you asked what am I doing here, let me give you a short summary. I am here to do PR and marketing work for a small company run by 2 Dutchmen. We are selling different goods, right now we focus on dispensers water dispensers, garden lights and coffee machines with coffee. :)

And as such we were spending a day testing different coffees and coffee machines, so you can imagine how awake I was all night long. :) If we had a TV probably I would have been watching the Olympics all night long... Here are some samples... (You can see Herbert's head behind the first glass of coffee hehe)
Mivel többen kérdeztétek, mit is csinálok én itt, hadd írjam le még egyszer. Egy 3 személyes magánvállalkozásban dolgozom, 2 holland üzlettársam van. :) Többféle dolgot árulunk, most jelenleg a vízszűrő berendezésekre, kerti lámpákra, kávéfőzőkre valamit kávéra fektetjük a legnagyobb hangsúlyt.

És mint olyat, tegnap az egész napot kévéfőzők és különböző kávék tesztelésével töltöttük. El lehet képzelni, mennyire pörögtem egész éjjel! Ha lenne TV a házban, valószínűleg néztem volna az Olimpiát... A képen éppen pár mintát hasonlítunk össze. (a balszélső pohár kávé mögött látható Herbert feje hehe)

It is COLD here / Hú de HIDEG van!

As we were driving back from the ship to our home, we actually went through Sweden as well. That was cool. The view was really really nice.

The bridge is the connection between Norway and Sweden. Man, it was nice to be back in "my" country again!

One funny thing is that you see road signs that you have never seen before. This is one of them. But before I started praying for seeing one in real life, Herbert told me that we might see one on the road anyways, and I'd better pray AGAINST it as it would probably get us all killed. Just so you can compare, here is a skeleton of a small species.

And the worst part was yet to come. The picture shows the outside temperature on 16th August (that supposed to be summer, right???) at night. Yes, you see it correctly: 4 Celsius!!!!! Nearly freezing point! Just a few weeks before I was driving with Jan in California and I took the same picture in her car. Yes, it was 113 Farenheit, that is 47 Celsius!!! :)

A hajóról hazafelé menet át kellett autóznunk Svédországon is, ami igencsak gyönyörű! Ez a híd köti össze Norvégiával. Nem mondom, örültem, hogy újra "a saját" országomban lehetek. :)

Mindig érdekes, ha olyan táblát látok, amit eddig még sosem. Nos, ez egy ilyen tábla volt. De mielőtt elkezdhettem volna imádkozni, hogy lássak egy rénszarvast élőben, Herbert figyelmeztetett, hogy jó eséllyel találkozunk majd eggyel. De jobban tenném, ha azért imádkoznék, hogy elkerüljök egymást, egy ütközés ugyanis az életünkbe kerülne egy ilyen hatalmas állattal. Csak összehasonlítás végett itt egy kép egy kisebb példány csontvázáról.

És a legrosszabb még hátravolt. A képen a külső hőmérsékletet látjátok Augusztus 16-án NYÁRON. Igen, jól látjátok! 4 fok volt!!!!!! Majdnem fagyáspont! Néhány hete Kaliforniában hasonló képet csináltam, azon 113 Fahrenheit van, ami ugye 47 fok!!!!

In Copenhagen / Kopenhágában

We had only a few hours to look around and with 4 kids you cannot really go that fast. Nonetheless, we managed to have a walk along one of the canals, see the famous Tivoli from the outside and have a glimpse of the palace and the Little Mermaid.
The weather was quite OK, the sun was shining and it almost felt like summer. :) The old brick buildings really gave a city a lovely look. Tivoli is a famous fun park, I think the first one in Europe; it was way to expensive to go in. First you pay for the entrance and then you have to pay for each ride as well and Denmark is really NOT a cheap country.

Walking alongside the Frederiks- holms Kanal gave us lots of oppor- tunities to check out the boats. When those sight- seeing boats go under the bridge, you hear the tour guide ordering everybody to remain not only seated, but to shrink in their seat as much as they can otherwise they don't take any responsibilities for the injury. And when the boat needs to turn, they do get in touch with the walls several times. Kinda funny to watch...

Most people take the train or ride their own bikes. Bicycles have more rights on the roads than cars as they say, which I find rather interesting. But because we were just visiting we drove around town a bit so I could take some pictures from the car.

We made 2 quick stops, one of them was at the Amalienborg Place, (the bigger version of what I saw in Legoland) which is the winter home of the royal family. Unfortuantely we missed the change of guards (at noon sharp), but there was still a guard so I went there to take a picture. Little did I know that probably I picked the meanest Danish guy. I asked him politely if I could take a picture, and he nodded. But as soon as I stood close to him he made an aweful loud noise as he changed the gun in his hands and literally made me jump. So as you can see this was the closest I could get to him for that picture that I wasn't that keen to have after all. When he started to do his hourly walk, Maria and I went closer to his post to pretend that we are the guards. Man, you should have seen him. He started yelling from afar causing all the people in the square to turn their heads. I think they agreed with us that he was particularly rude, but on the other hand I understand, that this is his job. He must be annoyed with all the dumm tourists... :)

Thank God we managed to get away from being arrested (the consequence of interfering with the famous guards) and could drive to our final stop the Little Marmaid. This is one of the trademarks of Copenhagen and as such is a must see. We were running late, but didn't want to miss that famous statue. I jumped out of the car, rushed to the site, pushed away all the other tourists and... THAT'S IT??? I asked loud that caused some people to smile. Their thoughts exactly. It is a SMALL statue on the water. :( Oh well, I thought it is worth a picture once I am here. Only later did I realize that her majesty's royal yacht can be seen in the back of the picture...

Csupán néhány óránk volt körülnézni, és hát ugye négy gyerekkel nem lehet túl gyorsan sétálni. Mindezek ellenére sikerült beiktatnunk egy sétát a csatornák mentén, megtekinteni a Tivoli-t kívülről, és sebtében megcsodálni a Kis Hableányt valamint a királyi család téli rezidenciáját.

Az időjárás kegyes volt hozzánk, még a nap is kisütött és én majdnem elhittem, hogy nyár van. :) Az öreg téglaépületek a városnak igen bályos külsőt kölcsönöznek. A Tivoli egy híres vidámpark, ha jól tudom, ez volz az első Európában. A baj csak az vele, hogy igen drága; egyszer fizetned kell belépőt, majd újra fizetni minden egyes játékért, és higgyétek el, Dánia NEM olcsó ország!

Mókás volt nézni, amint a hajók navigálnak a Frederiksholms Csatornán; miközben a túristáknak magyaráznak, az egész utcán hallani, amint az idegenvezető nem csak tanácsolja, hanem kifejezetten parancsba adta mindenkinek a hajón, hogy húzza be kezét-lábát, de az sem árt, ha belesüpped az ülésbe, ugyanis felelősséget nem vállalnak semmi sérülésért. És a következő pillanatban elkezd a teknő furdulni, gyakorlatilag kicentizve a kanyart, és még így is megjelöli a falat. :)

A legtöbb ember vagy vonatozik errefelé, vagy biciklivel jár. A bicajosoknak gyakorlatilag több joguk van az utakon, mint a kocsisoknak. Érdekes, nem? Mivel mi csak látogatóban voltunk, Herbert kicsit körbeautózott a városban, hogy tudjak néhány képet készíteni a kocsiból. Csupán 2 helyen áltunk meg néhány percre: Az Amalienborg Palotánál (aminek a kicsinyített mását Legolandban már láttam), ami a királyi család téli rezidenciája. Sajnos lekéstük az őrségváltást (pontban délben), de egy őr mindig van ott, hát gondoltam, róla csinálok egy képet. AKkor még nem tudtam, hogy valószínűleg sikerült kifognom Dánia legmogorvább pasiját! Udvariasan megkérdeztem, hogy csinálhatok-e egy képet, ő bólintott. De amint közelebb léptem, hatalmasat csapott a földre a fegyverével, én meg szó szerint odébbugrottam az ijedtségtől. Ahogy a képen is látszik, csupán ennyire volt szabad megközelítenem őt. Amikor az óránkénti sétájára indult, Maria és én odesettenkedtünk az őrhelyéhez egy fotó erejéig, mire hihetetlenül dühbe gurult! Messziről kiabált nekünk, mire a téren állók mind megdöbbentek. Szerintem egyetértettek velük, hogy a pasi igen udvariatlan volt, de abban azért igazat kell adnom neki, hogy ő csupán csak a munkáját végezte. Biztos a hócipője is tele van már a túristákkal... :)

Hála Istennek sikerült megmenekülni a letartóztatás elől (ez jár ugyanis az őrök munkájának akadályozásáért), és az utolsó látnivalóhoz indultunk. A Kis Hableány Kopenhága egyik fő nevezetessége, ezért mindenképpen meg akartam nézni. Mivel késésben voltunk, Herbert csak lassított, én kiugrottam a kocsiból, odaszaladtam a partra, átverekedtem magam a tömegen és... NA NE MÁR! - kiáltottam fel, amire többen körülöttem elmosolyodtak. Ők valószínűleg ugyanerre gondoltak: ez egy BAROMI kicsi szobor!!! Na de mit lehet tenni? Gyorsan lefotóztam, ha már idáig eljöttünk, aztán zúztunk vissza a hajóra vacsorázni. Csak utólag vettem észre, hogy a királyi jacht a kép hátterében legalább kicsit feldobja a képet...

Legoland

This is a really cool theme park in Billund, Denmark. As far as I know, this was the first park, today they have several Legolands around the globe. (further information: http://www.legoland.dk/?lc=en )

Many famous buildings and sites are represented here from all around the world. They used more than 20 million lego bricks to show you the world in small. But not just that, cool rides are also there to entertain the whole family. Yes, family, as many of the attractions are for children, however I saw that adults were enjoying themselves sometimes better than the kids. :)

The first picture is me with Mr. Lego guy, the photographer. I thought it is appropriate to have a picture with him as it is usually me who takes pictures. The second one is the royal palace in Copenhagen. They says the changing of guards is quite spectacular.

The third picture is a miniature replica of a street with a canal in Amsterdam, Holland. A few years ago I was there, took the boat ride, it was really fun. The boats here and the cars on the streets are moving, so it really gives the impression that everything is real.

Picture number 4 is me with one of the NASA base. You can see the size of these projects, they are pretty impressive. And every little detail is made of small lego peaces. The next picture shows the White House. It is really amazing how they reconstruct these buildings. They are on a small island and you get hop into a boat and take pictures as you sail between the sculptures.

Number six is a great constellation: the Statue of Liberty with a huge mosque in the front. These Danish people have some guts for sure to display these two next to each other! :) On 7th picture you can see one of the biggest stadiums in Europe. All those colorful dots are actual Lego guys all dressed in different colors. :)

The last one shows me in front of the entrance. And as for the souvenirs, who can tell me who is hanging on my new keyring????


Legoland Billund-ban van, Dániában. Amennyire tudom, ez volt az első ilyen park, mára a világ több országában is vannak hasonló helyek. (több info: http://www.legoland.dk/?lc=en )





Számtalan híres épület és látványosság szerepel itt a világ minden sarkából. Az építéshez több, mint 20 millió apró legodarabot használtak fel. A miniatűr remekműveken kívül jónéhány vidámparkba illő játék is várja az egész családot. Igen, családot, ugyanis a játékok nagytöbbségét a kisgyerekeknek tervezték. Bár halkan megjegyezném, hogy nem egy felnőttet láttam, aki jobban szórakozott, mint a gyerekei. :)

Az első képen Mr. Fotós Legoval pózolunk. Gondoltam, stílszerű vele egy fotó, hiszen én is mindig fotózom. A másodikon a palotát látjátok, ami Kopenhágában van. Remélem, eljutok oda, ugyanis az őrségváltásról mindenki azt mondta, hogy érdemes megnézni.

A harmadik képen egy kis városrészlet látható Amszterdamból, Hollandiából. Pár éve voltam ott, igazán szép hely. Még a hajós városnézésre is vállalkoztam, klassz volt. Itt a hajók és kisautók az utakon mind mozognak, néhány távirányítással, néhány kötött pályán úszik, és azt a benyomást keltik, hogy tényleg él a város.

A negyedik képen engem láttok, amint egy NASA indítóbázis előtt ülök. Az arányokból látszik, hogy ezek a "szobrok" elég nagyok... És minden egyes részük apró pici legodarabból van felépítve. A következő kép a Fehérházat ábrázolja; bámulatos, mennyire élethűek. Néhány szobor egy kis szigeten van, csak belehuppansz egy csónakba, és máris kedvedre hajókázhatsz a látnivalók között.

A hatodik kép egy remek összeállítás, ha engem kérdeztek: az amcsi szabadságszobor és egy arab mecset az előtérben. Ezeknek a dánoknak aztán van vér a pucájukban! :) A következő az egyik legnagyobb európai foci stadiont ábrázolja. Azok a szines kis pontocsák mind egy-egy legofigurát jelentenek. :)

És az utolsón pedig én állok a bejárat előtt. Hát, ennyi volt Legoland. Mindenkinek ajánlani tudom. Persze, nem olcsó, de ha erre jártok, megéri beugrani. És hogy valami emlékem is legyen: na, ki tudja, kiről mintázták az új kulcstartómat?

Denmark / Dánia

So we drove a little more from the ferry to our camping that was at the western part of Denmark right at the beach of the North See. The city is called Hvide Sande. The landscape has changed significantly, the huge green mountains disappeared and small grassy hills and ditches and dikes appeared everywhere. The houses are built of bricks instead of wood painted in red like in Norway. But the funniest thing is that they look like if they were hiding between the dikes, so from afar you only see the roofs.

The weather was chilly - well, at least for me! Some people were swimming in the sea while I had 2 long sleeves on and a leader jacket. :) I am still not used to this temperature, but I do much better than a week ago so I am hopeful...

After a cozy night in a small house we took off for Legoland - a theme park built almost entirely of lego peaces (pictures in a new post). Later that night we arrived to Logos Hope finally. It was really great to see all my friends again, specially because I had a few days just to sit in the dining room and have coffee with many of them. I took many pictures but they are mostly just my friends and me so it won't mean anything to you anyways. :) If you are still interested, see my facebook profile.

Logos Hope was in Koege, just an hour away from Coppenhagen and of course we couldn't miss that opportunity. Unfortunately we had only a few hours there, but it was still worth it. Even the weather was OK, the sun was shining and the wind wasn't too cold. I think that was the closest I could get to the summer...


Nos, a komptól még néhány órányi autókázás várt ránk, amíg meg nem érkeztünk Hvide Sande-ba, egy kis kempingbe a North Tenger partjára, Dánia nyugati csücskén. A táj igencsak megváltozott; a zöld hegyeket a sárgás-füves dombok, töltések és gátak váltották fel. A legtöbb ház itt téglából épül, nem pedig vörösre festett fából, mint Norvégiában. De ami a legviccessebb: messziről úgy tűnik, mintha a házak a töltések mögá bújnának, ugyanis sokszor csak a tető látszik ki.

Az idő csípős volt - legalábbis nekem biztosan! Néhányan a kempingből nagy bátran úszni mentek, míg rajtam 2 hosszúujjú volt meg a bőrkabát. :) Tény, hogy már jobban bírom a hideget, mint egy hete, de még van mit fejlődnöm.

Egy kellemes este után a kempingből nekivágtunk az útnak ismét. Az uticélunk Legoland volt. Egy park, ahol az összes épület apró legódarabokból épül fel. (képek egy másik bejegyzésben). Egy hosszú nap után végül megérkeztünk a Logos Hope-ra. Igazán remek volt sok-sok barátomat újra látni, különösen, mivel pár napig semmi dolgom nem volt. Csak ültem az étkezőben, kávázgattam a barátaimmal, csacsogtunk, nevettünk. Sok képet csináltam, de főleg a barátaimról, vagyis nektek úgysem mond semmit, ezért nem teszem ide fel őket (ha mégis érdekelne, a Facebook oldalamon megtaláljátok őket.)

A hajó Koege városában van, ami csak egy órára van Koppenhágától, mi pedig nem akartuk elmulasztani ezt a lehetőséget. Sajnos csak néhány óránk volt körbenézni a városban, de megérte! Még az időjárás is kegyes volt hozzám, sütött a nap, nem fújt a szél; azt hiszem, ennél közelebbi kapcsolatba nem kerülök idén már a nyárral. :)

Driving in Norway / Norvégia autóból

Finally we are back to normal (haha, what's that word again?) life, so I have time to tell you all the fun things we did during the last week. We left our lovely house on 11th Monday and were driving through amazing landscapes to reach the ferry to Denmark. I have never seen so many lakes, green hills and mountains all around me before. We had to catch the ferry so no time to stop at every curve for a picture - the few shots I have are from the car while Herbert was driving... Anyways, I hope you can still enjoy the view.

The ferry was HUGE to say the least. :) Once inside we left the car and went up to the lobby. Of course I went right away outside and spent the 2,5 hours out there, taking in the view, the salty air and the sprays. Yes, I did get wet. Very wet, indeed. :) They say this is one of the fastest ferries in the world, not sure about that, nevetheless, it was great. Poor kids weren't feeling too good though. All those memories of sailing came back and I realized that I still have my sea legs. Man, I do miss sailing...

The waves were really huge and the boat was moving a lot in every direction. The staff was distributing sea sick pills and biscuits for everybody. I couldn't resist to take some pictures. As a result, salty water was dripping off of my camera. :)



Végre visszatért minden a rendes (haha, mit is jelent ez a szó még egyszer?) kerékvágásba, így van időm beszámolni a kis utunkról Dániába. 11-én, hétfő reggel indultunk, és a kompig a több órás autóút hihetetlen tájakon vitt minket keresztül. Életemben ennyi tavat, zöld dombot és helgyet nem láttam még! Sajnos nem volt időnk minden kanyarban megállni fotózni, ezért a képeket menek közben készítettem, miközben Herbert tépett a kocsival. Remélem, azért átjön kicsit...

A komp hatalmas volt, finomat szólva is! Amint leparkoltuk a kocsit, felmentünk az utastérbe, én persze azonnal kimentem a hátsó nyitott részbe, és nem is nagyon hagytam azt el a 2,5 órás út alatt. Friss levegő, sós szél, hatalmas hullámok, gyönyörű látvány - ha csak sorolni kell a látnivalókat. És mielőtt megkérdeznétek, igen, természetesen csurom vizes lettem (nem is én lennék, ha nem így lenne). Azt mondják, ez a világ egyik leggyorsabb kompja. Míg én élveztem minden egyes pillanatát, a gyerekek arca egyre zöldebb árnyalatot kapott. :( Az összes hajózással kapcsolatos emlékem visszajött, és örömmel konstatáltam, hogy "hajós lábaim" még megvannak. :) De azért nagyon hiányzik a hajózás...

A hajó nagyon mozgott minden irányban, ezért a legénység tengeribetegség elleni bogyókat meg száraz sütit osztogatott mindenkinek. Muszáj volt pár képet készítenem, aminek az lett az eredménye, hogy sós víz csöpögött a hajamból és a kamerámból is...

this is just a short update letting y'all know that so far I am doing great here. We left on Monday early morning, were driving through incredible landscape to the ferry, took the fastest ferry to Denmark, drove again till the ocean and stayed in a camping for a night. AT the camping people were walking in shorts, bading suits, even some swimming in the sea, while I was in my winter socks, shoes and freezing in 2 long sleeves. :)

Yesterday we went to see Legoland, a cool themepark that involves lots and lots of lego bricks. The weather was kind to us, it was cold, but sunny. Last night at around 9 pm we finally made it to Logos Hope and could have a proper shower and a good nights sleep.

Today I am walking around, taking pictures of f5riends, catching up with them and basically do nothing in particular. Once we get back to Norway, I will post the pictures and a more detailed report. Cheers, me

csak gyorsan bejelentkezem, hogy tudassam, eddig minden jol ment, jol vagyunk. Hetfon reggel elindultunk, nehany oras autozas utan (gyonyoru tajon jartunk, komolyan, majd feszek fel kepeket, ha visszaertuink Norvegiaba) megerkeztunk a vilag leggyorsabb kompjahoz, laza 2 ora alatt atertunk Daniaba, meg nehany oras autokazas utan pedig a kempingben toltottuk az ejszakat az ocean partjan. Az ido eleg karcsu, en bundabugyiban fotoztam, amint helyiek furdoruhaban szaladgalnak, sot, nehanyan meg usztak is a tengerben.

Tegnap Legoland-ban jartunk, egy hatalmas park, ahol kulonbozo epuletek vannak kicsinyitve legobol felepitve, igazan klassz hely! Estere vegre megerkeztunk a Logos Hope-ra, nem mondom, jo erzes volt ujra latni a hajot is, a barataimat is!

Going back to the Logos Hope / Vissza a Logos Hope-ra

Well, over the years with OM I have learnt "never say never". When I left that ship in Kiel in January, i thought that i will never see them again - as HU has no sea. When I moved to Norway, I was still quite convinced that I will not see that ship again. The truth is tomorrow we leave for a short vacation to Denmark where Logos Hope is currently docked. :) Good thing is that I will see some friends again, will be able to tick Denmark off of my countries-to-visit-before-I-die list and can have some days of fun before we really start working. Bad thing for you is that probably I will not be able to update my blog for a week... :)

Az évek során megtanultam, sose mondjam, hogy soha. Mikor januárban elhajóztunk a Logos Hope mellől, úgy gondoltam, sosem látom többet azt a hajót, hiszen nekünk nincs tengerünk. Aztán mikor Norvégiába jöttem, tovább erősödött bennem ez az érzés. Erre tessék, holnap elmegyünk egy kis nyaralásra Dániába, és mit ad Isten, hát nem ott horgonyoz a hajó? :) A dolog jó oldala, hogy pár barátommal újra tudok találkozni, Dániában sem jártam még, meg a kaland is jónak hangzik. A rossz oldala, hogy egy hétig valószínűleg nem leszek netközelben.

First challenge fixed / Első kihívás megoldva

This information is not relevant to non-Hungarians as you have no idea about the HU accents, so no need to read further. Sufficient to say is that I fixed that problem now. :)

Amint a címből is látszik, sikerült megoldani a problémát, és végre gond nélkül tudok magyarul, angolul és norvégul írni a laptopról. :)

My first challenges / az elso kihivas

As you could see if you were Hungarian (though it is still not too late to get yourselves into a quick language course) I still struggle with my new laptop. Why? Because it has Linux on it, that's why! And as much as I was protesting against it, the more I use it (means getting annoyed because you cannot find anything and even if you do, it still doesn't work) the more I like it! Uncle Bill can keep his Windows and all the related programs (basically all the good ones I used to love and know) that run only under his nightmare, I AM CHANGING TO LINUX! Those who know me and know Linux, too will hopefully appreciate that after the initial there-is-no-flippin'-way-i-will-use-this-piece-of-c... chaos I reached the point when it entertains me to find out how to make the windows media player work on my new cool HP prince. :)

And yes, I was very proud of myself for figuring these out! Go "sudo" go!

Ahogy az ekezetek hianyabol jol latszik, meg nem sikerult elharitani minden akadalyt az uj laptopom mukodese elol. Miert? Mert Linux operacios rendszer van rajta, azert! Bar az elejen igencsak harcoltam ellene, minel tobbet hasznalom (magyarul minel tobb fejfajast kapok miatta, ugyanis vagy nem talalok rajta semmit, vagy ha igen, akkor az sem mukodik), annal inkabb bejon! Es igen, kifejezetten meg vagyok magammal elegedve, hogy ezek sikerulnek! Hajra "sudo", hajra!

My first night in Figgjo / Első estém Figgjo-ban

I made it! I really did! :) And guess what, it was kinda easy! :) OK, the luggage allowance was still not enough, but i used my charm smile... (it worked with the guy in Norway and i didn't need it in Hungary, good thing as it was a girl)

Thank you all for praying and thinking about me I arrived in time. Marthe, the almost 11 year old girl was so very excited. She didn't know that I am coming much less that I will not only visit them, but stay here for a while.

Anyways, here are some pictures so you can all get a glimpse of where I am staying. The first one is the view from the balcony. Mind you, the picture was taken after 9 pm! :) The second one is me in my street with the sunset - cheesy I know, but hey, who cares? Yes, it is colder here than in Hungary, about 15 Celsius today... And the last one is to show you that Maria and I were working hard all day, while the kids were playing... I mean, the kids were having a great time watching us do the Kung Fu Fighting on the dance machine. Oh well, life in Norway... :)

Igen, sikerült! Megérkeztem! De tényleg! Na jó,a csomagokkal volt némi probléma, szerintem ugyan nem voltak nehezek, pláne nem túl nehezek, de a norvég bácsit nehéz volt erről meggyőzni (a magyarral nem volt gond, mondjuk nehéz is lett volna elbájolni, hiszen leányzó volt a lelkem).

Mindenkinek köszi, aki drukkolt meg imázott értem, időben megérkeztem, a reptéren vártak; Marthe 11 lesz, és nem tudta, hogy én jövök, azt meg még kevésbé, hogy nem csak látogatóba, így nagy volt az öröm...

Na de sebaj, néhány kép, mert tudom, hogy erre vártok. Az első a kilátás az erkélyről. Ja, jusson e szetekbe, hogy a kép jóval este kilenc után készült. A másodikon az utcánkat látjátok a háttérben, meg a naplementét. :) Igen, hűvös van itt, kb 15 fok lehet, amihez még hozzá kell szoknom. A nyakam körül a lánc a desszert volt a vacsi után: rágógumi spárgán :) És végül arra bizonyíték, hogy Maria és én egész nap keményen dolgoztunk, míg a gyerekek játszottak... - vagyis ők jól szórakoztak azon, hogy mi a Kung Fu Fighting dallamára ugráltunk a táncgépen. Na igen, nehéz itt az élet... :)

Last days / Utsó napok

Mint minden rendes utazásra, nekem is fel kell készülnöm. De minden rendes emberrel ellentétben én nem kezdek el időben csomagolni. :) Íme egy kép a szobámról - atomtámadás után...

És valami, ami biztosan hiányozni fog: apám házi sütésű kenyere. Még akkor is, ha este tízkor készül el, még meleg és másnap szürnyű gyomorfájásom lesz is a repülőn...


Like every normal trip you need to prepare a bit, pack your stuff and get emotionally ready. Unlike every normal people I don't do that in advance, just a couple of hours before traveling. :) Oh well, here is a pic of my room, kinda disastrous...

If there is one thing that I will miss... my dad bakes bread for us. Even though it is not ready before 10 pm., even though it is still hot, even though I will have a terrible stomach ache the day after...
